Gassco reports increased demand for Norwegian gas
Operator Gassco transported 99,8 billion standard cubic metres (scm) of Norwegian gas to European terminals in 2009 – up by roughly 2,3 billion scm from the 2008 gas year. Read more |

Carbon storage sites to be identified on the Norwegian Shelf
Over the next three years, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) will identify suitable storage sites for carbon dioxide (CO2) on the Norwegian shelf. It is assumed that there are a number of potential sites for storing CO2 on the continental shelf. Read more |

Web founder Sir Tim Berners-Lee has unveiled his latest venture for the UK government, which offers the public better access to official data. Spain will push for a common European market in energy and eCommerce during its six-month EU presidency, Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero told the European Parliament, adding that the EU's '2020 Strategy' for economic and social renewal would form the cornerstone of his tenure.
